Motivations - How Can We Be Holy?

At times we may feel backed into a corner, and like the porcupine, we send out projectiles in self-defense. Those who love us are likely to be impaled by our words and/or our actions. 

We must realize and confess this as sin, fueled by our selfishness with a big dose of self-pity. Once we do this and seek Father God's mercy and forgiveness, He will take the burden. Our heart and mind will be blessed with His amazing love and peace. Then with laser-like precision, our mind will receive God's answer to our problem.

Our privilege then is to follow His direction, humbling ourselves to forgive, so that we may be forgiven. 

Some would say, 'It can't really be that easy, can it? Don't I have to walk up some steps on my knees, or some other such painful punishment?' No my friend, it is God's goodness that melts our rebellion and leads us to repentance (a changed mind).

So where do we find the Truth we so desperately need and long for?

'I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man comes to the Father except through Me.'

Jesus said this to His disciples, and when we believe Him, our lives are forever changed!

God's Words are 'life to those that find them, and health to all their flesh'. (Proverbs 4:20-22)

A prayerful read of verses 23-27 and committing ourselves to God's grace enables our obedience, and will launch our journey into holiness.
