Rest that Heals it ALL - part 2

part 2

The  R E S T  that  H E A L S  it  ALL !

To the church at Corinth Paul wrote . . .

Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ, and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were entreating through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

[2 Corinthians 5:17-21]

The one who believes and trusts in Jesus Christ has died to his own ego - his own self-will - and instead lives for the sake of Christ. For His kingdom and His glory, let us confess that what WE want, what WE desire, even what WE need, is all contained in the death of the One who died on the Cross of Calvary for the sins of all mankind. Let us read, then accept, then pray the truth from the lips of Jesus Himself, and written by the Apostle Matthew in his gospel . . . chapter 6, verses twenty-five through thirty-three.

The Cure for Anxiety

"For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink;

nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?

And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?

And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these.

But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you?

You of little faith! Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing?' For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

[Matthew 6:25-33]

"To whom would He teach knowledge,
And to whom would He interpret the message?
Those just weaned from milk?
Those just taken from the breast?

"For He says,
'Order on order, order on order,
Line on line, line on line,
A little here, a little there.'"

Indeed, He will speak to this people
Through stammering lips and a foreign tongue,

He who said to them, "Here is rest, give rest to the weary,"
And, "Here is repose," but they would not listen.

So the word of the Lord to them will be,
"Order on order, order on order,
Line on line, line on line,
A little here, a little there,"
That they may go and stumble backward, be broken, snared and taken captive.

[Isaiah 28:9-13 (NASB)]

Here is the rest we must desire.

Here is the rest we must have

No striving. No ambitious selfishness.

Eternal life is found here -- only in the blessed rest of trusting the perfect work of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

When we surrender to Him, The very peace of Christ will rule in us as well.

This is the rest that heals it ALL!

And this is my personal testimony . . .

Amen and Amen!
