Divine Filter - True Character?

True Character?

THE DIVINE FILTER

Luke 6:44-46  (NASB)

"For each tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they pick grapes from a briar bush.  The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.

"Why do you call Me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?"

Because the great majority of the colonists, and early American

citizens educated their children at home

Because of the biblical orientation of the culture

Because the Holy Bible and the recognized classics of English

    literature were their school books

Because inspired philosophy from other languages

    were also studied,

Because communities were therefore peopled by God fearing - God loving citizens who accepted the responsibilities of their mutual faith and commitment to shared principles and goals.

Alexis de Tocqueville of France wrote the landmark volume, "Democracy in America" following his return to France.

(Although the axiom, 'America is great because she is good.

If America ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.' is attributed to Tocqueville, research has shown otherwise.)

Nevertheless - the statement is true. It is fact, based on biblical connotation. So, allow us to say that whatever human hand actually penned it, God wants to keep it 'Front and Center' in our national awareness.

No matter how often atheist and agnostic voices trumpet their lies, the Truth will always triumph. The more prayer and fasting - the more we die to our own agendas - resting in God's Peace - the more we pray,

YOUR KINGDOM COME, YOUR WILL BE DONE,

in JESUS' NAME, AMEN!

OUR FATHER WILL HEAR AND ANSWER.
