Keep Yourself CLEAN!

  "K e e p

     Y o u r s e l f

          C L E A N"

Suppose you have an unresolved problem. It's longstanding.

The longer it remains, the more frustrated and annoyed you are.

You've tried one remedy, then another, then another, but the condition remains. There has to be an answer, but it just has not come.

The frustration continues, until you decide that

"you just have to live with it."

For Bible-believers, the relevant promises contained in the Scriptures

can renew hope, and relieve frustration during the time-interval until the physical and emotional healing are manifested.

God has told us in Scripture, "I AM the LORD Who heals you."

Our faith and trust is tested, because the timetable is God's, not ours.

If the problem is emotional or spiritual, other factors come into play.

Such as . . . have you forgiven everyone, including yourself?

have you blessed those who have cursed you,

both with your words and with your actions?

In the spiritual realm, have you taken your stand with Christ against the forces of darkness which attack God's children?

Do you even believe Jesus' words concerning the reality of the devil and his hatred toward God and His human children?

The truth is, satan is a loser . . . indeed, he is THE loser!

He is the consummate liar, he is jealous, and he is angry. All the more so since he knows his time is short. Our place is to remind him of his certain destiny.

Our own victory is assured by what Jesus Christ has already done.

It is not dependent on our own strength, our own 'goodness',

or OUR OWN ANYTHING!

So what does "Keep Yourself Clean" have to do with all this?

EVERYTHING!

The following quotes are from the New American Standard Bible (NASB):

"Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate," says the Lord."And do not touch what is unclean; And I will welcome you.

2 Corinthians 6:17

Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.

Ezekiel 36:25

Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Psalm 51:10

You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

John 15:3

The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true; they are righteous altogether.

Psalm 19:9

All the ways of a man are clean in his own sight, But the Lord weighs the motives.

Proverbs 16.2

"Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight. Cease to do evil,

Isaiah 1:16

Moreover, they shall teach My people the difference between the holy and the profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.

Ezekiel 44:23

let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

Hebrews 10:22

  H Y G I E N E !

Observing personal cleanliness for health, thus preventing and avoiding illness is just common sense. It is also the first thing to consider in the healing process . . . for instance . . .

When the author first heard about the discipline of fasting, it was in the spiritual context. Then when experienced, it proved effective in physical healing as well. It's much more than washing germs off of our hands. Internal hygiene requires occasional fasting with pure water (sometimes with lemon juice) to remove toxins that have accumulated in the body.

Experience has shown that confusion in moral and spiritual matters, brain-fog etc., can be removed through fasting in addition to the 'washing of water by the word' of Scripture study and worship.

Have you ever tried to look through a very dirty window?

(What have you been seeing on TV and the internet lately?)

The eyes are the windows of the soul.
